Mesa man accused of abusing girlfriend's cats

According to court documents, Jay Campbell stole his girlfriend's two cats and abused them in an effort to get back at her for not answering her phone. One of the cats, Zeus, was found alive but with serious wounds. Rescuers say Zeus is getting better following treatment. The other cat, named Persephone, was found dead. Campbell is accused of animal cruelty.

Lizard rescued from Loop 101 in Phoenix is back home

If you were driving along Loop 101 in north Phoenix on Wednesday morning, you may have witnessed an unusual scene. A reptile was spotted on the shoulder of the freeway near 7th Street on July 10. FOX 10's Brian Webb has more on what happened.

Non-profit offering aid for pets in excessive heat
