RSV, flu cases on rise in U.S.

Doctor's offices across the country are being flooded with sick children, many with a respiratory illness -- but it's not just kids being hit hard. Levels in Arizona are moderate, but there is high flu activity surrounding our state in California and New Mexico. The state health department says flu cases are up 19% since last week, and RSV is up 5%. The department also says they're seeing more than double the RSV cases compared to a typical year. FOX's Jonathan Serrie reports.

When a baby is born in less than 37 weeks of pregnancy, they're considered preterm, or premature. In 2021, there were nearly 7,800 preterm births in Arizona, which is about 10% of all live births. A group of former premies are now giving back, one knot at a time. FOX 10's Anita Roman reports.
