Lawyers for both the prosecution and the defense in the murder trial of the so-called 'Doomsday Mom' presented their closing arguments on May 11, after weeks of testimonies. Now, the wait for a verdict has begun as jury members begin deliberating. FOX 10's Justin Lum reports from Boise, Idaho, where the trial is taking place.

The prosecution's closing arguments started similar to what we heard in opening statements: the motives of this case are "money, power, and sex." Lead prosecutor Rob Wood said Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell's affair set off events leading to three murders - the victims JJ Vallow, Tylee Ryan, and Tammy Daybell -- and Lori was the leader in all of this with a plan.

A little more than three years after the so-called 'Doomsday Mom' was arrested, jurors will hear closing arguments in Lori Vallow's murder trial. The woman is accused of killing two of her kids, and conspiring with her husband, Chad Daybell, in the murder of Daybell's first wife, Tammy Daybell. We have obtained exclusive video in the case of Lori Vallow, the so-called 'Doomsday Mom' who is accused of murdering two of her children. The video, which dates back to January 2020, shows authorities finding her with her new husband, Chad Daybell, vacationing in Hawaii. At the time, authorities were serving a court order in relation to the then-disappearance of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan. Both JJ and Tylee were later found dead. FOX 10's Justin Lum reports.

May 9 marked the 25th day of the trial for the so-called 'Doomsday Mom,' a woman who is accused of murdering two of her children, as being accused of conspiring to kill the wife of her current husband, Chad Daybell. On this day, Idaho Attorney General's Office lead investigator Nicholas Edwards took the stand as the final witness for the prosecution. Edwards, who assisted in the investigation into the death of Chad Daybell's ex-wife, Tammy, testified about texts between Lori and Chad, saying Tammy had two life insurance policies that both paid out to Chad. Former FBI special agent Doug Hart read texts from Lori to Chad, saying, “It’s making me so happy to read about our life that I’m finally going to dance. Missing you and loving you from afar, and, "It was great. I feel free again and can’t wait to be with you forever and ever.”
