A shooting in Yuma left two people dead and five others hurt on Saturday night, and three suspects have been arrested.

All the victims involved were between the ages of 15 and 20.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 3800 block of S. J Edward Drive just before 11 p.m. on May 13 and found seven victims with gunshot wounds.

Two men, 19-year-old Danny Garcia and 20-year-old Ande Blackthunder died from their injuries at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

A 16-year-old boy was flown to Phoenix in extremely critical condition. Four other males - ages 15, 16, 18 and 19 - were hurt but are expected to survive.

"We can confirm that this was a party at a private residence … the parties knew each other and that over 30 rounds were fired. The homeowners were not at the residence when this party occurred but were contacted and fully cooperated. Several weapons were recovered at the scene and are awaiting forensics testing," Yuma Police said in a news release on May 15.

3rd suspect arrested in Yuma house party shooting

Two men were shot and killed at a house party in Yuma last month. Five other teens were hit by gunfire and survived. Two other men, an 18 and 19 year old, were arrested last month.

Yuma Police said Tuesday that detectives served a search warrant at a home and arrested 18-year-old Jose Lopez on suspicion of first-degree murder and disorderly conduct with a weapon while 19-year-old Aden Arviso was taken into custody on suspicion of false reporting and disorderly conduct with a weapon.

A third suspect, 19-year-old Abrahim Colin, was also arrested. He is accused of two counts of first-degree murder.

Investigators still are trying to determine a motive, but said it doesn’t appear to be a random act and that the people at the party knew each other.
