'Wings for Autism' event hosted by Atlanta's airport

In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport hosted the Wings for Autism event on Wednesday.

The goal was to introduce and acclimate individuals with autism to the sights and sounds of the airport.

The program is designed to alleviate stresses that a person with autism may experience when flying.

Participants could practice getting a boarding pass, navigating through security, and boarding and touring a Delta plane.

About a hundred people from around metro Atlanta attended the event.
