For the first time ever, Whole Foods Market has teamed up with a major plant-based restaurant to develop a Thanksgiving feast, but this feat is a little different. There's no meat or any animal product required.

Veganism, it's a diet excluding meat, eggs, dairy and all other animal-derived ingredients. This alternative lifestyle is becoming very popular and that's why Whole Foods Market took notice for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.

This year, the store is offering a completely vegan animal product-free Thanksgiving feast, complete with the traditional main course.

"This is a gardein holiday roast," Theresa Sarna said. "It's a meatless turkey. It's stuffed with kale, cranberries, and wild rice."

All the fixings, like mustard-glazed cauliflower, sauerkraut-roasted rainbow carrots, mushroom lentil stuffing, and vegan cheesy potatoes. No Thanksgiving meal would be complete without pie.

"This is our vegan pumpkin and we also have a vegan apple as well," Sarna said. "I think people would enjoy them just as much as your regular traditional pie."

We asked people how they'd feel about a vegan holiday, and some were in favor.

"I actually want to go vegan and I'm trying to get there, I've been substituting stuff out like I do coconut milk now, so no milk, so I'm trying to raise my vibe or whatever so I'm heading in that direction," one person said. "Probably within a year I will be vegan, so I'd be OK with it."

Other people aren't on board.

"So overall you'd prefer to have animal products and meat on your table for Thanksgiving?" I asked.

"Absolutely, I really would," one person replied.
