Travis Scott arrested in Miami Beach

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, early Thursday morning.

The "Goosebumps" rapper, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication. He was booked at 4:35 a.m. and posted a $650 bond.

According to the arrest affidavit, police were called to a yacht docked at the Miami Beach Marina, where people were reportedly fighting on board. When police arrived, they allegedly found Scott highly intoxicated from alcohol and standing on a nearby dock yelling at people on the yacht.

Police asked Scott to sit down, but Scott repeatedly stood up and yelled at the people on the yacht while police were investigating. The yacht owner didn't want to press charges; they only wanted Scott to leave, police said.

Police escorted Scott away from the marina and told him not to return. Scott reportedly left in a vehicle that was waiting for him, but returned to the marina about five minutes later, police said, despite warnings not to do so. Police said Scott began yelling obscenities again in an area where people were sleeping.

Scott was detained and reportedly admitted to officers that he'd been drinking alcohol. He reportedly told police, "It's Miami."

It's not the first time Scott has had run-ins with law enforcement. Scott, 33, faced a criminal investigation in Houston, Texas, after 10 people died in crowd surges at his Astroworld music festival. He was never charged, but more than 500 lawsuits were filed after the deadly concert. The 10 people who died were among 50,000 who attended the festival.

Those who died ranged in age from 9 to 27 years old. Roughly 300 people were injured and treated at the scene, and 25 were taken to hospitals. Those killed died from compression asphyxia.

Scott was also investigated but never charged in New York City after he allegedly got into a physical altercation with a sound engineer at the nightclub amid a heated argument, according to multiple reports.

Scott reportedly caused $12,000 in damage and reportedly damaged expensive sound equipment, including a speaker and video screen at the nightclub.
