TEMPE, Ariz. - Several suspects are being sought after a shoplifting incident on Saturday at Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe led to a fight, leaving one person injured.
Tempe Police say three suspects were involved in shoplifting at a standalone kiosk inside the mall at around 5 p.m. The kiosk employee tried to regain the stolen property and a fight ensued. The employee suffered a laceration to his head during the fight. He was treated at the scene by firefighters.
The three suspects fled the scene on foot and remain on the loose. They are described as two black females and one black male, possibly in their late teens to early-20s.
The incident caused many shoppers to panic while inside the mall.
"People coming out of the mall telling me they saw people run, and stores closing down their gates when this occurred," FOX 10's Lauren Clark tweeted. "Some people were even hiding, they tell me, in the stores."

Police say officers originally responded to the mall for reports of shootings, however, no weapons were involved in the incident.
Normal operations have since resumed at the mall.
