PHOENIX - One teenager is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting at Desert Sky Mall.
This follows another mall shooting that happened in Tempe just a few months earlier.
According to police, the shooting occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27.
Officers were summoned to the intersection of 76th Avenue and Thomas Road when they found the teenage boy with a gunshot wound.
Shoppers are on edge after hearing someone was hit with bullets just hours earlier.
"It's very worrisome that people cannot control themselves and fix problems with shootings. It's not good," said one shopper named Miriam.
Separate shootings leave man dead, teen injured
Two separate shootings left a man dead near Indian School Park in central Phoenix and a teenager in critical condition near Desert Sky Mall in west Phoenix.
Some shoppers said they will not go to the mall at night or during peak times anymore because of the dangers the shopping centers can become.
"I'm in shock, because I didn't think things like that would happen," said Jose. "It's not just here, it's everywhere, even in California."
The teenager is expected to survive his injuries. No suspects have been arrested in the incident.
