Shots fired into Laveen home, 1 person injured

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened near 67th Avenue and Southern on Friday morning.

A 20-year-old man inside a home in the area was hit by the gunfire. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries to an arm and foot.

Police say they did find some drugs down the street from the home, along with 12 shell casings from two different caliber guns. They believe the house may have been targeted as the result of a "drug deal gone bad."

At this time, there is no description of the getaway vehicle and police say the victim isn't saying much as to what may have happened.
