Rare orange lobster almost cooked up at Red Lobster

PUEBLO, Colo. - A rare lobster was almost served up at a restaurant in Colorado.
The 1-in-30-million orange lobster was caught off the coast of Canada and "accidentally delivered" to a Red Lobster in Pueblo, Colorado.
Workers at the restaurant named the animal 'Orange Crush,' or 'Crush' for short, after the Denver Broncos' iconic 'Orange Crush' defense from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s.
The orange lobster was almost boiled and served with hot butter before workers realized how rare the animal truly is.
"We actually had several guests see him in the tank in our lobby and asked why do we have a cooked lobster in our lobster tank," Kendra Kastendieck, the restaurant’s general manager, told FOX 31.

Crush traveled to Denver's Downtown Aquarium on Wednesday.
"We're very sad to lose Crush," Kastendieck continued. "He's been a wonderful point of hope, a real boost for my team recently. He's been like a little mascot for us. So we're sad to see him go but we can't wait to hopefully come and visit him when he's in exhibit here."

"Showing, you know, a slice of ocean in Denver, Colorado is a really neat thing we get to do and displaying a cool animal like an orange lobster is something that we are very excited about and we think a lot of people will be excited for it," added Michael Lewis of the Downtown Aquarium.

Crush is going to be in quarantine for the next 30 days.
