Police: Undercover investigation involves Phoenix cabaret and night club

Phoenix Police executed a search warrant Thursday morning following an extensive investigation at the Pink Rhino Cabaret and Luxx Nightclub.

Investigators were seen removing boxes from the business, but they wouldn't say much about what they found or what they're looking for.

Police did admit that the search warrant is in response to numerous complaints of criminal activity happening in or around the strip club.

The cabaret located near 40th Street and Van Buren has been the location of over 400 calls for service since it opened in 2011 according to police.

On New Years Eve of 2013, a robbery at the club ended with the shooting of a police officer and volunteer posse member.

According to authorities, the strip club is one of many locations where investigators served search warrants.

Police aren't releasing all the locations, but said Luxx, set to host an opening party, is one of them. A video on the promoter's Facebook page says the club opens at 8:00 p.m. and former "Saved By the Bell" star Mario Lopez is set to host.

Carlos Aramburo, Gabor Huszar and Salvador Garcia are facing conspiracy charges and officials say they all worked at the Pink Rhino. They are accused of buying thousands of dollars worth of liquor and cigarettes from undercover detectives. They believed the alcohol and cigarettes were stolen and being sold on the black market.

Police say drugs were also being sold by club employees.
