Police investigating deadly shooting at Laveen gas station

LAVEEN, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police are investigating an early-morning shooting at a Laveen gas station.

According to Phoenix police, the shooting happened at about 1 a.m. at a gas station near 51st Avenue and Baseline Road.

Police say witnesses saw multiple suspects shooting at the victim, who had just exited a vehicle. The victim then ran inside the gas station and was shot by one suspect who followed him inside.

After the shooting, the suspects left the gas station in a silver vehicle., which was found abandoned nearby.

Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the victim and suspects knew each other.
