Police identify body found floating in Mesa lake
MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have identified a body that was found floating in a lake in Mesa.
Mesa police said Wednesday that they have confirmed that 51-year-old Joseph Cotton Jr. was found dead in the Dobson Ranch Lake.
According to police, Cotton's body showed no obvious signs of trauma.
They have yet to determine the cause of death or how Cotton, of Mesa, ended up in the water.
Firefighters responded Tuesday after a caller reported the body in the lake near Dobson and Baseline roads.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the manner of death.
