Police chase leads to 3 arrests, K-9 deployed

A wild police chase with multiple stops in Guadalupe ended with three arrests after the vehicle hit several police vehicles and a K-9 was deployed to neutralize the driver.

A wild police pursuit took Maricopa County Sheriff's Deputies through different parts of Guadalupe and left three adults - one woman and two men - taken into custody.

The incident began near Calle Cerritos and Avenida Del Yaqui when a Sheriff's Deputy noticed a vehicle traveling down the road the wrong way at a high rate of speed.

The driver failed to yield to a traffic stop and the pursuit was on.

According to a police report, a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle pointed a weapon at the Deputy as the car weaved in and out of the streets of Guadalupe before stopping to let a passenger out of the vehicle.

Then, the vehicle continued before stopping again on Calle Carlos.

Several MCSO patrol vehicles and a Tempe K-9 unit collided with the car when it started to drive off again, but could not get away.

Two more passengers exited the vehicle and were taken into custody.

The driver was reluctant to comply and an MCSO K-9 was deployed on the driver.

All three of the occupants were taken into custody and the driver was hospitalized.

No suspect information was released in the case.
