Phoenix police: Standoff at residence is over
PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix Police Department spokeswoman says a standoff resulting from a domestic violence call is over and that detectives are investigating what transpired.
Detective Marianne Ramirez says officers responding to a disturbance Wednesday morning were told by witnesses that they heard screams coming from a residence.
Numerous officers surrounded the location as the SWAT team responded.
Ramirez says negotiations led to the people inside the resident coming out without further incident and that it doesn't appear anybody was injured.
