Phoenix police: Man found fatally shot on a street

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man who was shot has been found dead on a street.

Sgt. Mercedes Fortune says the body of a man believed between 20 and 30 years old was found early Friday morning.

Fortune says witnesses reported hearing gunfire but couldn't provide any additional information.

The incident occurred near 67th Avenue and McDowell Road.

No additional information was released.
