Phoenix PD investigates deadly crash involving a pedestrian crossing 51st Avenue
PHOENIX - An investigation is underway after a person was hit by a car early Friday morning near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road.
Around 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 29, Phoenix Police officers responded to a report of a unknown trouble in the area. They learned that an adult male pedestrian was crossing 51st Avenue when he was struck by a sedan.
The driver of that vehicle remained at the scene and is not suspected of being impaired.
The adult male pedestrian was pronounced dead.
No names have been released in this case.
The intersection of 51st Avenue and Indian School Road will be restricted in all directions during the investigation.
