Phoenix Circle K gas station closed after gunshot victim was found

PHOENIX - Police are investigating a shooting call in the area of 19th Avenue and Broadway Road.

When they arrived at the scene on December 27 at 7 a.m., they found an adult male inside a vehicle at the Circle K gas station with a gunshot wound.

"Officers learned that the shooting occurred in the area of 7th Avenue and Pima Street after which the victim self-transported to 19th Avenue," said Sgt. Rob Scherer.

First responders transported the person to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Circle K store will remain closed during the investigation.

No names or suspect information has been released.
