PD: Casa Grande man arrested on child pornography charges
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - A 71-year-old Casa Grande man was arrested after police say they conducted an extensive child pornography investigation into him.
John Butorac was arrested at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 13, and is accused of 4 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Charges will be submitted to the Pinal County Attorney's Office.
"The Casa Grande Police Department was made aware of relevant information via a cyber tip generated through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Casa Grande Detectives, with the assistance of the Department of Homeland Security-Investigations (HSI), executed a search warrant at Butorac’s residence on Wednesday morning," the department said.
Items of evidence, including, computers, hard drives and cellular phones, were taken.
Butorac is being held at Pinal County Adult Detention Center.
"Our agency is appreciative of the cooperative efforts of Homeland Security Investigations and the Pinal County Attorney’s Office," the department said.
