Oro Valley police: Baby sitter arrested in child abuse probe

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) -- Police in Oro Valley say a baby sitter has been arrested in connection with a child abuse investigation.

They say 34-year-old Jennifer Taylor has been booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of one count of child abuse.

It was unclear Tuesday if Taylor has a lawyer yet.

Police say an investigation indicated Taylor was caring for a 10-month-old child when it suffered head trauma at a home on Nov. 17.

Emergency surgery was performed on the baby at a Tucson-area hospital.

Police say their investigation is continuing.
