Next step in Scottsdale stadium renovation moves forward

The next step in renovating Scottsdale Stadium is moving forward.

The stadium, located near Old Town Scottsdale, is the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants. $60 million of renovations could be pupped into the stadium in the near future, as the Scottsdale City Council approved $5 million for a design process to begin.

Seating, shade, viewing areas and clubhouse upgrades are part of the master plan for the 12,000-seat stadium. The Tourism Development Fund, which uses hotel bed taxes, will be used to pay for the initial $5 million.
