New video captures incident involving Charlie Malzahn, suspect in teacher's murder, in Tucson

Newly-released video shows murder suspect Charlie Malzahn being detained by police in Tucson, a day after the Glendale school teacher he's accused of killing went missing.

Catheryn Gorospe bailed Malzahn out of a Flagstaff jail. 24 hours later, Malzahn was caught on camera using her credit card at a Tucson mall. Video taken at the Coconino County Jail shows the Glendale kindergarten teacher enter the jail to bail out 27-year-old Malzahn. A day later, police say Malzahn drove across Arizona to look for drugs before ending up at a Tucson mall, where he and an acquaintance were seen buying items, using Gorospe's credit card.

In the newly-released video, Malzahn was seen, at first, giving a fake name to officers, and saying his girlfriend gave him the card to use. That's when police try and contact Gorospe on the phone to back up his claims. Over and over again, Malzahn tells police he's done nothing wrong, and that he should be let go.

30 more minutes would pass before Malzahn finally gives police his real name. Unable to find any reason to keep him in handcuffs, officers confiscated the items... And eventually let Malzahn go.

"I've decided that I'm not going to arrest you today. You're going to walk out of here," said the officer, in the newly released video.

Moments later, that's exactly what happened.

After Malzahn left the store, he drove to Tempe, where police say he assaulted a student before carjacking another woman. Malzahn, however, has plead not guilty to those charges.

As for Gorospe, her body was found a week after the incident in Tucson. To this date, however, Malzahn has not been officially charged with her murder.
