Phoenix hotel shooting leaves man dead

Police say a suspect is on the loose after a 38-year-old man died after being shot at a hotel near I-17 and Sweetwater Avenue.

A man is dead following a shooting on Monday night at a hotel in north Phoenix.

The shooting happened just before 7:15 p.m. on May 20 near Interstate 17 and Sweetwater Avenue.

When officers got to the scene, they found 38-year-old Remember Remember with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Investigators say the suspect was arguing with a woman when Remember intervened.

"The suspect pulled out a gun and shot Remember, just before leaving the scene," Phoenix Police Sgt. Phil Krynsky said.
