Man arrested in 2001 killing of ex-girlfriend in Ahwatukee

PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a man has been arrested in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend in Ahwatukee more than 13 years ago.

Phoenix police say 44-year-old Adrian Phillip Harvey was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree murder and burglary.

Bond was set at $1 million at his initial court appearance Wednesday. Harvey doesn't have an attorney yet.

Police say 32-year-old Dawn Tucker-Subia was found dead in her Ahwatukee apartment on Dec. 2, 2001.

An autopsy later ruled her death a homicide as a result of a single gunshot wound to her head.

The body of Tucker-Subia was discovered by her estranged husband after she didn't picked up her two young daughters from a weekend visit.
