Man accused of sexually assaulting female migrant in Ajo

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been accused of sexually assaulting a female migrant in the desert near Ajo.
Pima County Sheriff’s officials say 33-year-old Antonio Cruz-Morales is jailed on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault.
Cruz-Morales was taken into custody by the U.S. Border Patrol on Tuesday and then taken to the Tucson station to be interviewed by county sheriff’s investigators.
Authorities say the female migrant was transported to a hospital for treatment.
It was unclear Wednesday if Cruz-Morales has a lawyer yet.
