Man accused of performing lewd acts in his car arrested by Glendale Police
GLENDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Glendale Police say a man who was under arrest admitted to detectives that he had committed public sexual acts, on multiple occasions.
According to a statement released Friday afternoon, officials say 32-year-old Anthony Walters was arrested on three charges of public sexual indecency, which is noted to be a class 1 misdemeanor. Walters reportedly admitted to detectives that he had committed public sexual acts more than five times in Glendale, and about a dozen times in other jurisdictions.
The investigation began, after reports of a man performing lewd acts in his car waiting for female pedestrians and joggers to pass by and see him were brought to the attention of the Glendale Foothills Community Action Team (CAT). During the investigation, CAT officers were able to identify the car, and a female undercover officer then observed Walters sitting in his car, committing a lewd sexual act as she passed him. Walters was arrested without incident on Thursday.
