Loop 202 in Mesa reopens after large object gets wedged under overpass
MESA, Ariz. - The westbound lanes of Loop 202 Red Mountain reopened near Greenfield Road in Mesa after a large object became wedged underneath an overpass Thursday afternoon.
The sign also damaged part of the sign above it, according to photos released by the Arizona Dept. of Transportation.
No one was injured, but it took nearly two hours to remove it, Arizona Dept. of Public Safety officials said.
The object appeared to be the top of a dump truck.
"It's important to secure your load, no matter how big or how small!" ADOT officials said.
