Light rail service disrupted in Mesa due to deadly crash
MESA, Ariz. - A deadly crash in Mesa shut down a portion of the light rail on the night of Oct. 19.
According to police, a driver jumped the curb near Main Street and Alma School Road and crashed into an electric pole. People in the car were reportedly arguing right before the crash happened.
According to investigators, the driver of the car died after being taken to the hospital, while another passenger was taken to the hospital.
Valley Metro officials said a bus service serviced riders as a result of the crash.
