Krispy Kreme giving away free, out-of-this-world new doughnut in honor of moon landing
LOS ANGELES - Technology has come a long way. Not so long ago, humans were walking on the moon. Now, Krispy Kreme is filling their doughnuts to mark the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, and they're giving them away for free.
In honor of the Apollo 11 mission, Krispy Kreme is giving away their new Original Filled Doughnut on Saturday, June 22.
It might not be one small step to your nearest Krispy Kreme, but it's definitely one big leap for your taste buds, since these come filled with either Classic Kreme or Chocolate Kreme.
" Krispy Kreme was at the launch of Apollo 11, serving fresh doughnuts to Americans witnessing liftoff of this monumental mission. As America prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we want to give our fans a new taste experience that is out of this world," said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation.
Fortunately, getting your hands on a free doughnut isn't rocket science. Just go to your nearest Krispy Kreme on Saturday and request one. There is a one doughnut per person limit.
