Millicent Williams, 78, has been missing for weeks, but officials used dental records to positively identify her body. She was reported missing on July 27.

Her grandson, Gregory Williams, was taken into custody and charged with theft by taking for being in possession of Williams' vehicle. Charges of kidnapping, murder and aggravated assault were added later.

Police believe Mr. Williams forced his way into his grandmother's bedroom and attacked her with a "Rambo-style" knife, according to warrants released Monday.

The documents said that the assault happened at Millicent Williams' Brookgreen Point home sometime between Sunday, July 22, and Thursday, July 27. Police allege he then kidnapped her and got rid of her body with her own car, but the documents don't reveal specifics.

The warrants tell how investigators found a lot of blood inside her home and in her car, including on the rear floor board. Authorities arrested Williams last week while he was driving her car, and the documents say he had a bloody knife at the time.

Police said someone made the discovery behind a guardrail on the westbound side between the Flat Shoals Road and Glenwood Road exits.
