‘God delivered us’: Texas boaters survive EF-3 tornado

A couple of fishermen and a dog were caught in a tornado while out fishing in Texas over the weekend.

Video recorded by Brian Johnson showed him and his dog out at Stanolind Reservoir in Winnie, Texas, when winds began to pick up and clouds could be seen rolling in.

Johnson could then be seen heading to a dock where he picked up his friend who had more fishing poles and supplies, but before the pair could set back out to fish, Johnson’s friend could be heard saying, "I don’t like that blue right there. But, if you go down, I’m going down with you brother."

The pair laughed before Johnson’s friend said, "I’m not that worried about it, but I don’t think it’s good."

Johnson and his friend proceeded to put on raincoats and appeared to hunker down as the storm came barreling toward them.

"We were fishing and got caught up in a tornado," Johnson told Storyful. "We went through the eye of the storm, yet by His Grace, God delivered us."
