Walter Ringfield was charged with computer tampering, theft, burglary and criminal trespassing. Investigators say he stole a security fob from the Maricopa County Election Center last year. DPS says Ringfield was caught on camera at the Arizona Capitol days earlier, stealing seven challenge coins and three coasters from a security staff member's desk. Police also said Ringfield removed $9,500 worth of vintage jewelry from mannequins at the Phoenix Art Museum. Ringfield pleaded guilty in all four cases.
PHOENIX - A man accused of stealing from the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center and the Arizona State Senate pleaded guilty on Feb. 4.
The backstory:
On June 20, investigators say Walter Ringfield stole a security key fob from the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center in downtown Phoenix.
He was accused of computer tampering, theft, burglary and criminal trespassing.
Five days earlier, he was caught on camera at the Arizona Capitol, stealing seven challenge coins and three coasters from a security staff member's desk.

A man accused of stealing from the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center and the state Senate has been tied to another alleged theft.
Police say Ringfield also stole $9,500 dollars worth of vintage jewelry from mannequins at the Phoenix Art Museum.
What's next:
On Feb. 4, Ringfield pleaded guilty to all charges.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office said, "Ringfield is in custody and being held non-bondable."
