Flights resume after Sky Harbor control tower evacuated due to strange odor

Phoenix fire crews responded to a fire alarm at a Sky Harbor control tower after airport employees reported an unknown odor and evacuated.

The Phoenix Fire Department arrived in hazmat suits to check the building, but did not detect any dangerous substances. 

Staff are now returning back to the tower, and departures have resumed.

There were no delays in airport operations.
