Generation Beta babies born in Phoenix! Meet baby Logan who arrived 8 minutes after midnight

The first New Year’s babies in the Valley have arrived.

Not only are these babies born on the first day of the year, but they are also part of a new generation.

Move over Gen Alpha! Gen Beta is here.

The babies born today through the year 2039 have been named Generation Beta, and it’s time to meet one of the first ones.

Justine and Cade Montplaisir have been a couple since 8th grade and now are first-time parents.

This bundle of joy is named Logan.

Logan Montplaisir, the first baby born at Chandler Regional Medical Center on New Years Day.

"We look at each other and we’re like ‘We made that! We did this!’ He is made out of love with God‘s help, so it’s really rewarding," said Justine.

Logan was born at Chandler Regional Medical Center a few days ahead of schedule, about 6 and a half pounds, 19 inches.

He arrived just eight minutes after midnight.

"(The nurse) She’s like, ‘I think you’re gonna have the first New Year’s baby,’ and I was like, ‘oh my gosh, little Logan, you’re a rockstar already,'" Justine said.

Logan is one of the first representatives of Gen Beta.

They are the first generation born into an age of drones, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and who knows what else?

"We hope he has her personality and my brains because if so, he might be president one day, we'll see," said Cade.

"I’m like, ‘be a little pro golfer,’ that'd be so cool," said Justine.

A new life and a new generation with a mother and father who can’t wait to see what the future holds.
