Eastbound Loop 202 reopens following police incident
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - ADOT officials say the eastbound lanes of a stretch of Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) have reopened early Friday morning following a police incident.
According to a statement, ADOT officials said the freeway's eastbound lanes were closed on Thursday night, near 44th Street. All traffic is exiting onto State Route 143.
According to DPS officials, a person jumped the median, and was hit in the eastbound lanes. The person was reportedly taken to the hospital, but it is not clear as to the extent of the person's injuries.
