Driver wanted in Phoenix hit-and-run crash that killed a woman
PHOENIX - A woman died two days after she was hit by a car near 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix early in the morning on Thursday, Jan. 19.
When officers arrived just before 4:45 a.m., the woman was lying on the ground with life-threatening injuries, and the driver involved left.
A witness told police that the car was driving eastbound down Bethany Home Road when it hit the woman, who was trying to cross the street in an area without marked crosswalks.
No other suspect information was released.
On Jan. 21, police said the woman, Norma Nichols, 38, had died from her injuries.
