DPS trooper uninjured after being shot at in El Mirage
EL MIRAGE, Ariz. - An investigation is underway in the west Valley after an Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper was shot at late Wednesday night in El Mirage.
According to DPS, the trooper was investigating an abandoned vehicle at 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 27 near Grand and 113th Avenue when a gunshot was heard in the area and the round struck the trooper's patrol vehicle.
The trooper was not hurt and several law enforcement agencies searched the area, however, no suspect was found.
Eastbound and westbound traffic on Grand Avenue was restricted, but the roads have been reopened.
