Dog abandoned at Scottsdale PetSmart store finds forever home
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A Chihuahua who was found abandoned and tied to a display inside a PetSmart store has found a new home.
Maricopa County Animal Care and Control says a neighbor of the dog's owner has come forward to adopt the dog. The dog's owner is unable to care for the dog due to a medical condition.
"Hotchi" was found tied to a display inside a PetSmart store on December 2nd.
A spokeswoman says someone went to the store near Camelback Road and Miller with the Chihuahua mix, saying his uncle was in the hospital and he needed to board the dog long-term.
The man didn't have proof of the dog's vaccinations, so he left the store, but the dog was found tied to a display.
After several days, the neighbor came forward to adopt the dog.
