Crocodile found in Florida swimming pool
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has had a busy few weeks.
Last week, the officers removed a 5-foot blacktip shark from swimming at a condo complex in South Florida. The shark was removed from the pool and set free in the Intracoastal Waterway.
Thursday, a homeowner in Lower Matecumbe Key, located in the upper Florida Keys, was surprised to discover an 8-foot crocodile in his swimming pool. The homeowner called the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Sheriff's Office asked for the assistance of the experts at Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. They assisted with removing the animal and returning him to his normal habitat in the ocean.
