The crash happened on Nov. 11 in the eastbound lanes near Warner Road. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the incident began when troopers responded to reports of a pedestrian in the road.

A deadly crash shut down Interstate 10 near Warner Road for several hours on Monday night, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
As troopers were detaining the man, DPS says two other vehicles crashed, killing 40-year-old Peter Stump, a passenger in one of the cars. The drivers were also injured.
The pedestrian was identified as a 34-year-old man from Glendale.
