Circle K clerk pistol-whipped on-camera
PHOENIX - Police are searching for two suspects after a clerk was pistol-whipped in a Circle K store robbery, and a reward has been offered for their arrest.
Silent Witness spokesperson James Rothschild says the two men entered the store at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30.
Police say the men had their faces covered, went behind the counter, and demanded cash and cigarettes.
The first suspect was armed with a black pistol and hit the victim in the head with the weapon. The men then filled a backpack and a plastic Circle K bag with cigarettes and beer. The suspects then took off on foot.
Both men are described as black men in their 20's. The first suspect was reportedly wearing a grey hoodie with a blue bandana. The second suspect wore a black bandana, white sunglasses and a Spongebob Squarepants backpack.
