Cinnabon meets Warheads in new flavor mashup: ‘Try before you deny’

Cinnabon, known for its iconic cinnamon rolls, announced it is collaborating with the nostalgic sour candy Warheads to introduce a new flavor mashup – the first partnership for the two brands.

According to the company, the rolls will feature sour popping candy onto Cinnabon’s cinnamon rolls. The treats will be available in three flavors: blue raspberry, green apple and watermelon.

The collaboration also features a limited-time Warheads Chillatta beverage.

"Fans know and love our classic cinnamon rolls, but at Cinnabon, we don’t shy away from a little fun," said Michael Pittman, the vice president of marketing at Cinnabon. "We are always looking for bold new ways to innovate for our most adventurous guests. Cinnabon x Warheads is truly a collaboration you have to try before you deny – and we know fans will keep coming back for another bite of this one-of-a-kind flavor combination."

But this isn’t the only collaboration tapping into the nostalgia of its customers.

Last week, the fast food giant debuted the new collectible cups and said they "unlock core memories around some of our favorite McDonald’s moments." This includes the Cowpoke McNugget Buddy in 1988, McDonald's Dragster in 1993, the 2000 Hello Kitty Crew Keychain and more.

McDonald’s said fans who order the Collector’s Meal have the choice of a Sausage McMuffin with egg sandwich, hash brown and coffee during breakfast hours, or the choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac sandwich with fries and a soft drink throughout the rest of the day. They’ll be available nationwide starting on Aug. 13.
