Authorities catch kangaroo on the loose near GA border
MCCORMICK COUNTY, S.C. - Authorities in McCormick, South Carolina responded to an unusual call early Tuesday morning after a kangaroo was on the loose near the Georgia state border.

"When you get dispatched to an animal in the road and this is what you find," the McCormick County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit said on Facebook.
According to McCormick County Emergency Services, the kangaroo was seen hopping through the Clarks Hill area, which is about 20 miles northwest of Augusta. Officials said it was jumping along the side of Highway 28, headed southbound.
The sheriff's office told FOX 5 News the kangaroo was safely captured and has reunited with its rightful owner.
The kangaroo belongs to Melrose Farm, which is a licensed exotic farm.
