Arizona weather forecast: Cold front brings cooler temperatures to the area
Our weather pattern finally shifts to more seasonal conditions this week.
Monday reached 74 degrees in the Valley, another above average day. However, a cold front is approaching the state from the north. It will pass through Monday into Tuesday. As it passes, winds will increase around Arizona. Behind the front, cooler temperatures will finally arrive.
Overnight into Tuesday morning, low temperatures fall back into the 40s around the Valley. In Northern Arizona, temperatures slip into the teens and 20s with a few spots hitting single-digit lows.
Winds will gust up to 25-30 mph in Northern Arizona on Monday, and up to 35 mph on Tuesday. In the Valley, gusts up to 25 mph are forecast on Tuesday.
By Tuesday afternoon, the forecast high in Phoenix will reach 68 degrees-- just above the average of 67. Good news? The forecast high lingers between the upper 60s to low 70s the rest of the week.
Overnight lows will also remain closer to average, in the low 40s Wednesday morning and mid-upper 40s Thursday morning through the weekend mornings.
Unfortunately, the forecast still looks especially dry. No rain or snow is forecast across the state this week.
