Here's where apartment sizes are growing the most, according to report

The average size of apartments expanded in certain regions of the country last year giving renters ample living space to meet their needs based on data from a recent report from Rent Cafe.com.

Researchers noted in the study that studio and one-bedroom apartments made up 52.7% of new units.  Here’s what you need to know.

Which cities have the largest and smallest apartment sizes in the U.S.?

Local perspective:

In 2024, the average apartment size in the nation climbed to 908 square feet, with one-and two-bedroom apartments growing between 4 and 13 square feet, according to Rent Cafe.com.

Researchers looked at the cities with the biggest and smallest apartment sizes, and cities that had significant gains in square feet over the last 10 years.
