October 1
- Man hit, killed by train at Phoenix intersection
- Man shot, another man found dead in related Phoenix incidents: PD
- Northbound I-17 near Daisy Mountain exit - Offramp blocked for some time due to one-car crash with injuries, according to DPS officials.
- 27th Avenue and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Officers called to apartment complex in the area for a shooting call, and found an adult woman with gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
- Man shot dead in north Phoenix neighborhood
- 27th Avenue and Van Buren, Phoenix - A woman is expected to survive after being shot at around 1 a.m. The suspect left before police arrived.
- Bartlett Dam Road and Cave Creek Road, Scottsdale - A motorcyclist suffered multiple fractures after a crash Sunday morning. He was identified as a 48-year-old man.

Arizona Crime Files: Sept. 24-30
Our top crime stories for the week of Sept. 24: New developments in an animal, elder abuse case in Chandler; a drive-by shooting at a Walmart parking lot; rampant drug use near a Phoenix rehab center; a deadly Apache Junction barricade situation; and a shooting in a Phoenix neighborhood that sounded like an "Old West gun battle."
September 30
- Shooting suspect who led Mesa officers on chase is struck by patrol car: PD
- 48th Street and McDowell Road, Phoenix - One person was displaced in a mobile home fire at around 10:30 p.m.
- 7th Street and Bell Road, Phoenix - Three people were displaced after a double wide mobile home caught fire at around 9 p.m.
- Near I-17 Frontage Road and Montebello Avenue, Phoenix - Officers were called to the scene just after 9:00 p.m. for a shooting call, according to police officials. "When officers arrived, they contacted an adult male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man notified officers about his girlfriend who was with him when he was shot. Officers continued to check the area and found the man's girlfriend who was also suffering from a gunshot wound. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries." Police are still searching for suspects.
- 12th Drive and Broadway Road, Phoenix - Police responded to a fight call at around 6 p.m. and found that a man had been shot. He is now in critical condition. No other details were released.
- 'Green waste' fire burning at Salt River Landfill: Tribal officials
- Desert Foothills Trailhead, South Mountain - A man crashed his bike into a guardrail and was hospitalized in critical condition, Phoenix Fire said.

Landfill fire sends smoke across the East Valley
Fire crews battled a big fire that burned at the Salt River Landfill on September 30. The fire began to burn at around 3:30 p.m., and the flames were seen on some ADOT cameras in the area.
September 29
- Phoenix police investigate deadly shooting near Chase Field
- 69th Avenue and Thomas Road, Phoenix - A driver was killed after his SUV was struck by another vehicle driving down Thomas Road. He was identified as 26-year-old Ricardo Garcia. Police say the other driver did not show signs of impairment.
- Motorcyclist killed in crash at Phoenix intersection
- Woman dies in South Phoenix shooting, man hurt
- Broadway Road and McClintock Drive, Tempe: One person was shot at an apartment complex and is expected to survive. Police say this was a "domestic disturbance," but details are still unclear.
- Man killed in Mesa shooting, police say
- 15th Avenue and Broadway Road, Phoenix - A family of four was displaced after an attic fire.
- Old Gilbert Road and Gilbert Road, Mesa - A bicyclist is in critical condition after a car hit a curb, lost control and hit him. The driver was allegedly impaired and will face charges, police say.

Man with knife, shot killed in Mesa: police
A man who police say was armed with a knife was shot and killed by officers Friday night in Mesa. FOX 10's Lauren Clark reports.
September 28
- 16th Street and Washington, Phoenix - "Just after 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a convenience store in the area of 16th Street and Washington Street regarding a shooting," read a statement released by Phoenix Police officials. "When officers arrived, they located an adult male with gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It was learned that the shooting occurred inside of the store. Detectives are responding to assume the investigation. What led up to the shooting remains part of the ongoing investigation."
- 20th Street and Colter, Phoenix - Suspects involved in police pursuit (as mentioned below) fled into the area of 22nd Street and Camelback Road on foot, following the pursuit. They were eventually arrested by officers at this location.
- Phoenix officers nearly struck by driver
- State Route 85 near Southern Avenue - At least one person was killed in a crash involving a semi.

Police are investigating after a man was shot near 27th Avenue and Roosevelt overnight.
September 27
- Woman shot in west Phoenix
- Glendale and 83rd avenues, Glendale - A woman was shot. "The female suspect, who was known to the victim, was located nearby and taken into custody. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is still on going," Glendale PD said.

- SR 51 and Glendale Avenue, Phoenix - A crash was blocking traffic on SR 51 and Glendale Avenue.
- Woman arrested in Phoenix crash that injured child
- 21st Avenue and Adams Street, Phoenix - "Firefighters in Central Phoenix have extinguished a two story duplex fire located at 2105 W Adams St. Crews were dispatched at approximately 7:44am for multiple reports of a structure on fire. As firefighters made entry they found this to be a vacant building. Fire control was achieved quickly with no injuries reported. Investigators are on the scene working to determine a cause."
- 24th Street and Buckeye, Phoenix - There was a collision involving a bus at around 6:30 a.m. Minor injuries were reported, but it's not known if anyone needed to be taken to the hospital.

Child accidentally shoots themselves in Phoenix
A young child is recovering after accidentally shooting themselves in a neighborhood near 22nd Avenue and Camelback on Wednesday. The exact age of the child and how they obtained the gun is not clear at this time. However, the child is expected to be okay.
September 26
- Hit-and-run in Tempe, suspect arrested

- Deadly shooting in Buckeye under investigation
- 75th Avenue and McDowell Road - "Firefighters from Phoenix and Tolleson were dispatched (12:12pm) to the area of 75th Ave and McDowell Rd for the reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the roof a residential home. Firefighters were able to search the house, assuring no occupants were interior. Firefighters quickly achieved fire control, preventing the flames from extending to an adjacent home. At this time one person will be displaced. The Community Assistance Program is on the scene to assist the homeowner. There are no reported injuries and the cause is under investigation."

2 killed following crash near Glendale high school
Police say two people are dead, following a crash near Apollo High School in Glendale. When crews arrived at the scene, they found one car that crashed through the school's gate, and another car that crashed into a light pole. FOX 10's Danielle Miller reports.
September 25
- 7th Street and Greenway Parkway - "Officers responded to a call in the area of 7th Street and Greenway Parkway at about 7:20 a.m. where they located a man, later identified as 39-year-old Arvin Rambler, in the roadway with serious injuries. Rambler was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision stopped nearby and spoke to officers. Detectives arrived at the scene and took over the investigation. Detectives later learned the vehicle was northbound on 7th Street after it passed Greenway Parkway when the vehicle struck Rambler as he was crossing 7th Street mid-block. The driver did not display any signs of impairment and was released. Currently, no charges are pending as the investigating continues."
- 21st Avenue and Orangewood, Phoenix - "Officers responded to a shooting call in front of an apartment complex near 21st Avenue and Orangewood Avenue around 4:15 pm. When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He stated the suspect left the area before police arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury."
- Wier Avenue and Alamar Parkway, Avondale - "This morning at about 1:21 AM Avondale Police was dispatched to the area of Wier Ave. and Alamar Parkway reference a shots fired call for service. Upon arrival, Avondale Police learned one victim suffered a gun-shot wound during a fight. The victim left the area in a vehicle to seek treatment at a local hospital. The victim is currently at a local hospital in critical condition. Avondale Police detectives are currently investigating the relationship between the two locations in Avondale and Tolleson. It is known the victim fled the area of Wier Ave. and Alamar Parkway after he suffered his gun-shot wound. The details of what vehicle the suspect left in and the details of a crash are under investigation."
