Here's a look at the latest police investigations, fires, crashes and other incidents that are happening around the Valley for Oct. 16-22.

October 22

October 21

  • Scottsdale and Jomax roads, Phoenix: Phoenix FD says they were called to help a woman who fell off a horse. She is stable at the hospital.
  • Sweetwater Avenue and Cave Creek Road, Phoenix: Phoenix PD says Omar Santos-Marquez, 25, was killed after getting into crash while riding a motorcycle.

October 20

  • Warner and McQueen roads, Gilbert: Gilbert PD says businesses were broken into by three males around 3:30 a.m.
  • I-17 and Indian School Road, Phoenix: DPS officials said a crash involving multiple vehicles happened along the freeway's southbound lanes. Injuries were reported, but none appear to be life-threatening, according to DPS officials.
  • Multi-vehicle crash caused big delays on the I-10
  • 41st Street and McDowell Road: Officers found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound at a bus stop. He was hospitalized and police say the suspect has not been found.

October 19

  • 59th Avenue and Thunderbird Road: Banner Thunderbird Medical Center was placed on lockdown following a deadly shooting in the area.
  • 27th Avenue and Palm Lane: Firefighters are investigating the cause and origin of a fire in a commercial facility.
  • Near I-10 and Queen Creek Road: DPS officials say a two-vehicle collision happened in the area, with one of the vehicles involved having rolled over. A secondary collision involving multiple vehicles later happened in the area as well.
  • Sky Harbor Airport: Phoenix Fire officials say crews extinguished a fire involving a small private aircraft's landing gear. No injuries reported.
  • 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road, Phoenix: Police officials say officers who responded to a shooting call as a gas station in the area found a man with a gunshot wound. That person was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
  • Near 49th Avenue and Ocotillo Road, Glendale: Officials say officers found an unresponsive adult woman in a jacuzzi. She was declared dead at the scene.
  • 43rd Avenue and Bell Road: A woman pulled from a burring home was hospitalized in critical condition, but later died from her injuries. Firefighters say two other people were inside, but made it out safely and were found in the backyard; the remaining two residents weren't home at the time of the incident.
  • 67th Avenue and Buckeye Road: Phoenix Police crews rescued a man in a canal. He was evaluated and treated at the scene.
  • State Route 51 and Bethany Home Road: A car went up in flames on SR 51 Thursday morning near Bethany Home Road. Crews quickly put out the fire, but the car was badly damaged.
  • Greenway Road and Grand Avenue: Sgt. Rick Hernandez of the Surprise Police Department says their Criminal Investigations Unit was conducting a search warrant in the area with the assistance of Surprise and Goodyear SWAT teams.

October 18

  • Cotton Lane and Greenway Road: A male was shot several times and died on the scene. The victim's twin brother has been arrested in connection with the death.
  • Dobson Road and University Drive, Mesa: "Crews are on the scene and identified this as a small smoldering section in the attic. When the call came in, the occupants indicated that they had evacuated the property and all occupants were outside. They indicated they smelled smoke and saw some smoke in the home," Mesa Fire and Medical said.
  • 13th Avenue and Roosevelt: Firefighters battled a big fire that devastated a business in Downtown Phoenix.

October 17

  • Mill Avenue and Broadway Road: A Tempe High School student was found with a loaded gun in his backpack, the police department said.
  • 61st Avenue and Bell Road, Glendale: "Our officers responded to a collision near 61st and Bell Rd. An off-duty officer was involved in a collision The collision was minor and no injuries reported. The other driver is being investigated for impairment," Glendale PD said.
  • Alma School and Happy Valley roads, Scottsdale: "Scottsdale Fire crews are on scene of a multiple vehicle fire next to a structure. Crews have fire control and no extensions to the structure. No injuries to report," Scottsdale Fire said.
  • I-17 and Sunset Point, Maricopa County: The Bureau of Land Management says a semi-truck fire spread to private land and caused a fire to grow to 110 acres along I-17. Forward progress, however, has been stopped.
  • 38th Avenue and Mobile Lane: Video shows a dramatic scene in a West Phoenix residential neighborhood involving a suspect who, according to police, jumped onto the roof of homes in the area.
  • Broadway Road and Mesa Drive: - Mesa Police are investigating after an alleged home invasion turned involving a stabbing.
  • 32nd Street and Indian School Road, Phoenix - Officials with Phoenix's water department said there was a water main break in the area on Oct. 17, resulting in an all-day road closure affecting the southbound lanes of 32nd Street.
  • I-17 and Northern Avenue: Firefighters extracted the driver from a rolled vehicle and transported a female passenger to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

October 16

  • 40th Street near Loop 202, Phoenix: "Officers responded to a serious vehicle collision at 40th Street and the 202 freeway underpass just after 7 pm. When officers arrived they found two vehicles involved in a collision. The fire department responded and transported a man, two women, and a teenaged male to the hospital. All four currently remain in the hospital as they are receiving treatment," Phoenix Police said.
  • I-17 and Peoria Avenue, Phoenix: A crash slowed traffic on I-17 northbound.
  • Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway, Phoenix: At around 6:30 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting after a man came into a hospital saying he had been shot. This is the location of the reported shooting scene.

  • 12th Street and Butler, Phoenix - Fire officials say crews were called to the area at around 10:00 a.m. on Oct. 16 for reports of someone inside a storm drain, and smoke coming from the drain. When crews arrived, they discovered a small debris fire in the drain. The subsequently removed a grate, and made contact with the person inside. The fire was later extinguished, and the person got out of the drain with assistance from firefighters. The person was taken to hospital for evaluation.

  • S. Westwood and W. Grove Ave., Mesa - Fire officials say they had to evacuate an apartment building, after crews found readings of Carbon Monoxide at the second floor of the apartment building. Crews were sent to the scene to a person reporting a headache, which they described as a "duplicate complaint from earlier in the day."
