Arizona DPS says five cars crashed on US 60 in Mesa on Monday, sending eight people to the hospital, including an infant.

MESA, Ariz. - Arizona DPS says five cars crashed on US 60 in Mesa on Monday, sending eight people to the hospital, including an infant.

The Jan. 13 crash happened around 3 p.m. near Higley Road in the eastbound lanes.

DPS called the injuries "serious."

There's no word on what caused the crash.
