TEMPE, Ariz. - A 2-year-old girl has died after being found in a Tempe swimming pool on Monday.
What we know:
Tempe Police say the girl's parents found her in the pool on Dec. 22 near Rural and Warner Roads.
The girl was in critical condition while being taken to the hospital, but she died shortly after arriving.
What they're saying:
"Our hearts are with the child’s family and loved ones during this unimaginable loss. We ask that the family’s privacy be respected as they grieve," the Tempe Police Department said. "The incident remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time."
What we don't know:
It's unknown how the child accessed the pool.
